An Internet presence is essential. Do you know where your customers are? They’re on the Internet. I can help. I get phone calls all the time about how I can help them be successful online and how to get traffic to their websites? The Internet can be a lonely place if you don’t have anyone with experience on your side. There are thousands of companies that will help you be successful online and getting traffic to your website or blog but they get a lot of money for their service and from my 13 years of experience, there are also a lot of crooks out there that know how to utilize the system, promise you the first page on Google and ready to take you money. If I were you, I would be very cautious.

Advertising Your Website
There are many ways of advertising your website to get traffic to your website or blog. Advertising your website doesn’t mean you have to spend money to get this done, it simply means the different ways to getting more traffic to your website or blog, etc…after all, it’s about selling a product or service.

Naturally advertising your web portal can be achieved by spending a lot of money on advertising, opening up a Goggle Adwords account or advertising with other search engines to send traffic to your website. A word of caution, be careful with this approach because you could loose your shirt if you’re not sure what you are doing. I would like to share with you some other ways of adverting your website which really doesn’t cost much at all, but can produce great traffic to your website and also creates branding and let’s people know who you are.

I recommend the following to get more traffic and advertise your website
    * Create a blog
    * Create a Facebook profile
    * Create a Facebook page to link to your website
    * Business cards, stationary and Holiday cards with your website
    * Personal labels on the products with your website
    * Personal labels on the back of brochures with your website
    * Add an email signature with your website or Facebook page to you email
    * Voice mail and answering machine. A must have for any business.

If you asked me today “what is the best way of getting traffic to my website or blog?” I would say, get on board with social media and especially Facebook. The fastest way to make money with Facebook is to get involved, get connected, become a valued resource to others and be consistent and visit and use Facebook on a daily basis. Entrepreneurs will investigate an idea and find a way to do it.

My experience with ecommerce websites during the past several years to present is that it’s getting tougher everyday. If you are planning on building a business and hoping to have a successful ecommerce website today, you will find that it’s more difficult than you might imagine. If you’re considering starting a new website business and this is something totally new to you that you’ve never done before, you may want to think it over carefully. Building a website and running a successful ecommerce website takes a lot of work, training, knowledge and commitment on you part. Of course there are lots of do it yourself videos on how to build your website, but don’t count on it to give you a significant cash flow. There are also a lot of companies that provide a website service that offer you tools, training and support, just keep in mind these companies are very expensive with up front costs and monthly ongoing charges and you still have to learn everything.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you’re not going to make money if you have your own websites, what I’m saying is that statistics show that most people today will not make a significant amount of money where they can quit they current job. There is just too much competition today and it’s getting harder and harder with more people coming to the Internet to start a new home based business. So what if I told you that there is a way that you can actually benefit from all of this. You know that there are always going to be smarter people than you and I coming online to start a business. Reasons why most people don’t succeed

Most people don’t have posture and attitude.
Most people don’t have training
Most people don’t have the knowledge
Most people don’t have the confidence
Most people don’t have the desire

Most people don’t have a strong enough why. A lot of times people don’t know what they want, they just know that they want something different, but without a strong enough why they will never make it because they were never really committed to it 100% and they didn’t want it bad enough. You have to really want it from your gut to really make it work.
