Here is what I am learning everyday. “If you don’t create your future, someone else will create it for you.” Being in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I knew I would not be able to do that forever, eventually it would catch up to me. I watched many of my friends that were in the restaurant business get burned out, stressed out and some started drinking, I knew I didn’t want to end up being one of them. What good is having money if you don’t have a life.
But statistically, if I continued the route I was going, I would eventually end up like them, so I took it upon myself to make a change. I also feel a lot of people make their own obstacles. I’m where I am today because I am so clear on what actions in my life produces results and I learned to let go of everything that doesn’t produce a result. We all need to commit to spending 15 minutes a day on result producing activities. You have to become the change you want to see. If you want to be better than the way you are, then you have to change what you are doing.
